Actavis in North America

Approximately one quarter of Actavis’ sales are generated in North America, Actavis' single largest market. Three of the Group’s highest selling products are sold in the North American market.

Manufacturing sites in North America:
Actavis has five manufacturing sites for solid, liquid, and semi-solid dosage forms in the United States:

• Elizabeth, NJ: Solid-oral-dose facility for tablets and capsules supporting a broad therapeutic range. Core competency in modified-release products.

• Totowa, NJ: Actavis has two solid-oral dose manufacturing facilities in Totowa, in Little Falls and at Riverview Drive, in addition to a packaging facility at Taft Road. The Riverview facility opened in 2007, and will provide a considerable increase to the Company’s solid-oral-dosage capacity when in full operation. The Company plans to transfer production of the Little Falls facility to the Riverview facility. The transfer is expected to be completed in 2009.

• Baltimore, MD: A liquid manufacturer for the US market. The production of this facility is being transferred to Lincolnton with the aim of completing the transaction before year-end 2008.

• Lincolnton, NC: A growing production site for creams, ointments, liquids, and suppository products serving the OTC (over-the-counter), branded, and Rx markets in the US. Leading supplier of first aid, feminine hygiene, hydrocortisone, anti-fungal, and permethrin products for private-label and own-label series.
