Actavis Italy Commercial
Actavis Italy was founded in 2006 and a commercial team was established in 2007. The Company offers more than 80 generic retail products, branded products, oncology-, hospital- and OTC- products to the Italian market.

The Commercial team includes functions for Sales- and Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain and Regulatory Affairs.

Actavis Italy is working actively to establish close relationships with its customers; wholesalers, pharmacies and hospitals.

Nerviano manufacturing site
In 2008, Actavis acquired Pfizer’s manufacturing site located in Nerviano. Since the Seventies', this plant has always enjoyed a great reputation and has created a great tradition in the manufacturing of injectable products, namely anti-cancer drugs, with high quality and EHS standards.

The plant has four departments for the manufacturing of aseptic solutions, suspensions and freeze-dried in vials and solutions in ampoules. It produces approximately 30 million packs per year, marketed worldwide.

As of September 2009, a new laboratory for the development of new drugs has been established.

At present, Actavis Italy employs about 370 people and manufactures and distributes a broad portfolio of high quality generic products, as well as selected established brands and innovative products.

The plant is located in Nerviano, northwest of Milan, a 20-minute drive from Milan and from Malpensa airport.
