Actavis Operations Ltd.
Actavis Operations Ltd. manages two manufacturing sites and employs about 1000 people. The plants, which were acquired by Actavis in 2000, manufacture about 160 products in 1200 different pack presentations, covering all major therapeutic classes in human medicine. Each of the facilities is dedicated to specific dosage form technologies:
Dupnitsa – tablets and capsules
Troyan – suspensions, gels, ointments, syrups
A new Integrated Manufacturing Facility consisting of two production workshops, warehouse and dispensing unit, operates at Dupnitsa site. About 35% of the products manufactured in Bulgaria are marketed in the domestic market by Actavis EAD. The rest are exported to other European countries.
