Actavis Operations Ltd.
Actavis Operations Ltd. manages two manufacturing sites and employs about 2,100 people. The plants, which were acquired by Actavis in 2000, manufacture about 250 products in 820 different pack presentations, covering all major therapeutic classes in human medicine. Each of the facilities is dedicated to specific dosage form technologies:
Dupnitsa – tablets and capsules
Troyan – suspensions, gels, ointments, syrups, infusion solutions
A new, high-capacity solid dosage manufacturing unit was opened in Dupnitsa in 2003. About 50% of the products manufactured in Bulgaria are marketed in the domestic market by Actavis EAD. The rest are exported to other Central and Eastern European countries.
