Claudio Albrecht

Claudio Albrecht
CEO

Claudio Albrecht joined Actavis in 2010. He has over 20 years of experience in the generics industry, having started his career with Sandoz in 1987 where he went on to serve as a Managing Director in the Netherlands, Germany and the US. In 2000 he joined Ratiopharm as global CEO during which time the company doubled sales and became the world’s third largest generic company (by revenues). In 2008 Albrecht established Cometh, a consultancy that has advised pharmaceutical companies on their growth strategies, including Actavis. Albrecht holds a PhD in law.



Peter Prock - Deputy CEO of Actavis

Deputy CEO

Peter Prock joined Actavis from Cometh, a consulting business he ran with Claudio Albrecht. Prior to that, Peter worked at Ford Motor Company, Sandoz and Ratiopharm. Peter has a degree in Economics and Social Science from the University of Innsbruck.



Gudbjorg Edda Eggertsdottir

Gudbjorg Edda Eggertsdottir
President Iceland, Strategic Projects

Gudbjorg Edda Eggertsdottir joined Actavis following the Company’s merger with Delta, where she had been Deputy CEO and Managing Director of Exports and Development since 1999. She was appointed Actavis’ Chief Executive of Third-party sales in 2002.
Edda has an MSc degree in Pharmacy and has worked in the pharmaceuticals industry since 1976.



Mark Keatley

Mark Keatley
Executive Vice President of Finance

Mark Keatley joined Actavis from Famar SA, the leading European contract manufacturer of pharmaceuticals, where he had served as the CFO in London since 2002. Prior to joining Famar, he had served as CFO at Ardana Bioscience Limited in Edinburgh from 2001 -2002 and Ashanti Goldfields Company Limited in Accra, Ghana, from 1994-2000. Prior to his roles as CFO, Mark was an investment banker and a financial analyst. Mark holds an MBA degree from Stanford Business School and graduated from Cambridge University with a Master of Philosophy degree in International Relations and an MA in History. He is a chartered accountant in the UK, where he is a member of the UK Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.



Actavis CEO United States Doug Boothe

Doug Boothe
Executive Vice President of Americas sales

Doug Boothe joined Actavis in 2005, following the acquisition of Alpharma, as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Actavis US. He has been Executive Vice President of Commercial and Administration since February 2007. Doug holds a BSE in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business.



Frank Staud

Executive Vice President of Corporate Communications, Branding and Sponsoring

Frank Staud has over 20 years of experience in journalism and communications. He finished school in Innsbruck in 1989 and began his journalistic career that same year at the Austria Presse Agentur. From 1999 to 2008 Frank Staud worked for the 320,000 circulation daily Tiroler Tageszeitung, first as the business editor and then as editor-in-chief from 2005 to 2008. Before joining Actavis, he headed his own consultancy firm for corporate communications.


Actavis EVP QC Gudrun S Eyjolfsdottir

Guðrun S Eyjolfsdottir
Executive Vice President Quality and Compliance

Gudrun Eyjolfsdottir joined Actavis in 2002 following the merger of Delta and Pharmaco (now Actavis), where she had worked as Managing Director, Quality Affairs, since 2001. Prior to her role with Delta, she worked as a pharmaceutical inspector for 16 years, holding, among other roles, the position of Director of the Icelandic State Drug Inspectorate. Gudrun has an MSc in Pharmacy from the University of Uppsala in Sweden (1982) and an Executive MBA degree from the University of Iceland (2002).


Gunnar A. Beinteinsson

Executive Vice President of Human Resources & OD

Gunnar Beinteinsson was appointed as Vice president of HR and Org. development in July 2006. Gunnar joined Actavis in 2004, first serving in the Strategy and Organisational development. Before joining Actavis he worked for IMG Deloitte in Iceland, as a Consultant with emphasis on marketing and strategy projects. Prior to that Gunnar worked in the banking sector as a Branch Manager and a Marketing Manager. Gunnar has a Cand Oecon degree in Business Administration, from the University of Iceland and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in International Marketing and Management from Copenhagen Business School.



Roy Papatheodorou   Executive Vice President – General Counsel

Roy Papatheodorou
Executive Vice President – General Counsel

Roy Papatheodorou was appointed Actavis Group’s General Counsel in March 2011 after 6 years with global law firm Linklaters. During his time at Linklaters, Roy advised a number of corporates (including Actavis), funds and financial institutions on legal matters relating to general corporate, international M&A, restructuring and private equity. Roy obtained a law degree from King's College London followed by completion of the legal practice course at BPP School of Law in London.


Actavis EVP Hordur Thorhallsson

 

Hordur Thorhallsson
Executive Vice President of MEA & Asia Pacific sales 

Hordur Thorhallsson is responsible for Asia-Pacific, Latin America, Middle-East, Africa, Malta and Cyprus sales. Hordur joined the company in 2000 and worked as Vice President of Operations in 2002-2003. Hordur served as Managing Director at Actavis hf. in Iceland from 2003-2006. He left his post and transferred to corporate level as Managing Director of Business Improvements and assumed his current position in 2008. Hordur graduated from the University of Karlsruhe with a Masters degree in Economic engineering in 1996.


 Jeff Rope

Executive Vice President of Operations

Jeff Rope joined Actavis in 2007 as Vice President of Operations. Prior to joining Actavis Jeff worked for Bristol Myers Squibb and Pfizer. Throughout his career within the pharmaceutical industry he has held a number of management roles within Quality Operations, Production, Packaging, and Customer Service and Logistics. He was a Site Leader within Pfizer Australia and General Manager within Pfizer in Ireland. Jeff holds certifications in Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry as well as an Executive MBA.



Lars Ramneborn

Executive Vice President of Europe Sales

Lars Ramneborn joined Actavis in March 2010 as Vice President of Strategy. He has over 20 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Lars joined Actavis from Zentiva where he was Vice President and a member of the Board of Directors since 2003. Prior to joining Zentiva he was Vice President CEE/Middle East for five years for Galena/IVAX that later merged into Teva. Lars graduated in 1989 with a degree in Management and Economics from the University of Karlstad, Sweden.



Actavis EVP Stefan Jokull Sveinsson

Stefan J. Sveinsson
Executive Vice President of R&D

Stefan J. Sveinsson joined Actavis in 2002 following the merger of Delta and Pharmaco (now Actavis). He had worked at Delta since 1993 and most recently served as Managing Director, Development. Previously he was Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutics at the University of Iceland (1991-1993). Stefan has a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutics from Dailhouse University, Canada.



Actavis EVP Valur Ragnarsson

Valur Ragnarsson
Executive Vice President of Third-party sales

Valur Ragnarsson joined Medis, Actavis’ Third-party sales division, in 2001 and was appointed Managing Director in October 2003. Earlier in his career he held the posts of Marketing Manager of Lundbeck in Iceland and later as Marketing Manager of Aventis.
Valur is a pharmacist by education and has worked within the pharmaceutical industry since 1988.


Wolter Kuizinga

Wolter Kuizinga 
Executive Vice President of Business Development

Wolter Kuizinga joined Actavis from Disphar International where he was Director of Strategic Business Affairs and headed the department for value- added generics. He was co-founder and Commercial Director of Disphar International BV for 13 years, and co-founder and Commercial Director of Phardoz BV. Wolter was Business Development Manager at Ciba-Geigy from 1992-1996 and International Production Co-ordinator at Solvay Pharmaceuticals from 1988-1992. Wolter is a Pharmacist and has an MBA from Bradford University.
