Sigurdur Oli Olafsson
CEO


Sigurdur Oli Olafsson joined Actavis in 2003, after working for Pfizer UK from 1998 and moving to Pfizer US in 2001 to take a post in Global Research and Development. Prior to that, he served as Marketing Manager of Omega Farma (now Actavis), later becoming its Drug Development Manager. Sigurdur became the Managing Director of Actavis Inc. in the US in 2003. He became Chief Executive of Corporate Development in 2004 and Chief Executive of Sales & Marketing International in 2005. He was Deputy to the CEO 2006-2008. Sigurdur holds a degree in Pharmacy from the University of Iceland.


Gudbjorg Edda Eggertsdottir
Deputy CEO


Gudbjorg Edda Eggertsdottir joined Actavis following the Company’s merger with Delta, where she had been Deputy CEO and Managing Director of Exports and Development since 1999. She was appointed Actavis’ Chief Executive of Third-party sales in 2002.
Edda has an MSc degree in Pharmacy and has worked in the pharmaceuticals industry since 1976.


Mark Keatley
Executive Vice President of Finance & IT


Mark Keatley joined Actavis from Famar SA, the leading European contract manufacturer of pharmaceuticals, where he had served as the CFO in London since 2002. Prior to joining Famar, he had served as CFO at Ardana Bioscience Limited in Edinburgh from 2001 -2002 and Ashanti Goldfields Company Limited in Accra, Ghana, from 1994-2000. Prior to his roles as CFO, Mark was an investment banker and a financial analyst. Mark holds an MBA degree from Stanford Business School and graduated from Cambridge University with a Master of Philosophy degree in International Relations and an MA in History. He is a chartered accountant in the UK, where he is a member of the UK Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.


Aidan Kavanagh
Executive Vice President of Operations, Europe & ROW


Aidan Kavanagh, an Industrial Engineer, joined Actavis in September 2003. He has over 20 years’experience in the global pharmaceutical industry. Before joining the Company, he served as a consultant to Actavis during its acquisition of the Serbian subsidiary, Zdravlje.


Doug Boothe
Executive Vice President of Commercial and Administration in the US


Doug Boothe joined Actavis in 2005, following the acquisition of Alpharma, as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Actavis US. He has been Executive Vice President of Commercial and Administration since February 2007. Doug holds a BSE in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business.


Fearghal Murphy
Executive Vice President of Supply Chain


Fearghal Murphy joined Actavis in 2003 as Group Logistics Manager. He was appointed Supply Chain Director in 2005 and, more recently, has been Vice President of Purchasing. An Industrial Engineering graduate from the University of Limerick in Ireland, he also holds a Master’s degree in Engineering. Fearghal previously held various supply chain positions in IVAX Pharmaceuticals and Wyeth.


Guðrun S Eyjolfsdottir
Executive Vice President Quality and Compliance


Gudrun Eyjolfsdottir joined Actavis in 2002 following the merger of Delta and Pharmaco (now Actavis), where she had worked as Managing Director, Quality Affairs, since 2001. Prior to her role with Delta, she worked as a pharmaceutical inspector for 16 years, holding, among other roles, the position of Director of the Icelandic State Drug Inspectorate. Gudrun has an MSc in Pharmacy from the University of Uppsala in Sweden (1982) and an Executive MBA degree from the University of Iceland (2002).



Henriette Nielsen
Executive Vice President – General Counsel


Henriette Nielsen was appointed Actavis Group’s General Counsel in January 2006 after 3 years as Vice President in Alpharma with responsibility for API and International Generics. Prior to that, she spent 3 years with the Danish internet company NetDoktor as head of legal department and member of the management team, and before that she served as a lawyer for a number of years. Henriette got her law degree from the University of Copenhagen in 1991 followed by LL M, EU Law from the University of Edinburgh. In 1998 she was appointed High Court Attorney.



Milan Todorovic
Executive Vice President of Central Eastern Europe Sales


Milan Todorovic joined Actavis from GlaxoSmithKline where he served as Country Manager for Serbia and Montenegro. Prior to GSK he was Country Manager Yugoslavia for the Whirlpool Corporation and held several Management positions at The Coca-Cola Company in the Balkan Region. Milan previously served as General Manager of Zdravlje Actavis in Serbia in 2004 and as Actavis Balkan’s Regional Director. Milan has completed an MBA degree from the Ashridge Business School in the UK and holds a degree in Industrial and Organisational Psychology from the University of Belgrade.


Stefan J. Sveinsson
Executive Vice President of R&D


Stefan J. Sveinsson joined Actavis in 2002 following the merger of Delta and Pharmaco (now Actavis). He had worked at Delta since 1993 and most recently served as Managing Director, Development. Previously he was Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutics at the University of Iceland (1991-1993). Stefan has a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutics from Dailhouse University, Canada.


Steinthor Palsson
Executive Vice President Strategic Development


Steinthor Palsson joined Actavis in April 2002 as the Managing Director for Actavis in Malta. Steinthor led the complete refurbishing and development of the Malta factory, transforming it into a world-class new product launch site over a period of four years, before taking up his current position in 2006. Prior to joining Actavis, Steinthor participated in the establishment of UVS, a biotech company specialising in cancer research. He has also held various managerial positions within the banking sector in Iceland. Steinthor has a degree in Business Administration from the University of Iceland and an MBA from the University of Edinburgh.


Svend Andersen
Executive Vice President of Western Europe Sales


Svend Andersen joined Actavis through the acquisition of Alpharma, where he was Vice President and General Manager for Europe, Middle East & Africa. Prior to that, he was instrumental in the turnaround and management buyout of Ferrosan as Vice President of Commercial Operations. Svend has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for the last 20 years and holds three commercial degrees from Copenhagen Business School.


Valur Ragnarsson
Executive Vice President of Third-party sales


Valur Ragnarsson joined Medis, Actavis’ Third-party sales division, in 2001 and was appointed Managing Director in October 2003. Earlier in his career he held the posts of Marketing Manager of Lundbeck in Iceland and later as Marketing Manager of Aventis.
Valur is a pharmacist by education and has worked within the pharmaceutical industry since 1988.


Gunnar A Beinteinsson
Vice President of Human Resources & OD


Gunnar Beinteinsson was appointed as Vice president of HR and Org. development in July 2006. Gunnar joined Actavis in 2004, first serving in the Strategy and Organisational development. Before joining Actavis he worked for IMG Deloitte in Iceland, as a Consultant with emphasis on marketing and strategy projects. Prior to that Gunnar worked in the banking sector as a Branch Manager and a Marketing Manager. Gunnar has a Cand Oecon degree in Business Administration, from the University of Iceland and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in International Marketing and Management from Copenhagen Business School.



Hordur Thorhallsson
Vice President of Business Development


Hordur Thorhallsson is responsible for Middle-East and Africa sales and identifying and overseeing strategic projects across the Group with focus on efficiency and business improvements on a local, global and cross functional level. Hordur joined Delta in 2000 and worked as a Vice President of Operations in 2002-2003. Hordur served as Managing Director at Actavis hf. in Iceland from 2003-2006. He left his post and transferred to corporate level as Managing Director of Business Improvements. Hordur graduated from the University of Karlsruhe with a Masters degree in Economic engineering in 1996.



Scott Richards
Vice President of Global Hospital Business


Scott Richards joined Actavis in June 2006 and is responsible for leading the development of Actavis’ hospital channel business on global basis. Scott has been in the pharmaceutical industry for 20 years and has worked in Europe, the US and Asia. Prior to Actavis, Scott was President of Mayne Pharma’s commercial operations world-wide, having previously led Mayne Pharma’s EMEA and Asia Pacific operations. Scott studied Medicine and Economics degrees in Australia.
